I can’t believe it has been a month since I arrived in India. This month has gone by quickly. It has been a great time getting back to see all the kids and to connect with so many that I have known since nursery. We still have that sweet connection. They are growing and learning so much.

I have enjoyed being on the playground everyday with them. I continually thank Grace Point Church, for the gift of our play equipment. The children enjoy it every time they get to play on the playground We just finished 2nd term exams last week. I am happy to say the teachers are all pleased with the progress everyone is making.

Things here at home, Sanu’s dad has just planted a huge garden this week. He is amazing for 80 years old. He gets out every day and works in the garden doing something. Gardening in India is not easy. They still plow the land with two cows and the wood plow. (We did have a young neighbor help with that). and hand water everything.

We celebrated Jonah’s 11th birthday on the 11th of Oct. he was very excited to receive a new bicycle. The photo here shows the customary "sharing of the cake".

The big news is First Baptist Church of Lodi took up a special offering to build more classrooms, since we will be adding 6,7 & 8th grade in the coming years. The offering was over and above what we had hoped to get, this will allow us to build 4 new classrooms and make some needed repairs on the entire building. We continue to praise God for His abundant blessing upon this school and are so blessed to know God’s hand is on this school. I look forward to seeing what the future looks like for Grace English School here in Assam. The new classrooms will be added to the second floor on the top of the Chapel, which can be seen here in the photo on the left side.

I wish each one of you could come and see what God is doing!!! If you ever feel God prompting you to come with me, I would love to have you join me. Update on Sanu since his car accident. He is doing good. Still has a few areas that give him grief sometimes, but overall, he is doing great, we know God spared his life so he could continue to serve Him. After getting an attorney and going to court, he was also finally able to get some money from the insurance company to go towards paying off his totaled car. Also, he finally got his car released to him. He can now sell it for junk, but it will get him a little bit of money to continue paying off his car and medical expenses. Sanu will go back to Nepal in a few weeks to have a check-up with the Dr. and we are trusting God will continue to heal and provide. PRAISES:
1. The generous hearts of everyone who gave to help with the building project! 2. Sanu is getting better every day after his car accident. 3. For everyone who prays and supports me and the school.
PRAYER REQUEST: 1. Prayers as we seek to hire two more teachers before the new school year next spring. 2. For everyone to stay healthy. So many not feeling well after this change in the weather. 3. Wisdom that we make good choices as we build the addition.
