May the God of all Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

I am back! I know it has been a while since I have shared what is going on at Grace English School. I got home in Dec. and have been busy getting caught up with family, Doctor’s appointments, and life here in the U.S.

It has been a busy few months at school, we finished the building of 4 new classrooms, painted the whole building, updated the classrooms, repaired the wall around the compound that had been damaged by the bamboo trees, hired three new teachers and a helper for the cook. Sanu and Raju have been busy ordering books, uniforms, shoes, and ID badges for all the students and teachers, as they get ready for a new school year.

We started the new school year on April 10th. In Assam, the school year starts in April. We look forward to a wonderful school year with an all time high enrollment of 181 students!

As you know we added 2 more grades to the school, we now have nursery through 7th grade and next year we will add 8th grade. Sanu, our administrator has been busy with all the paperwork and travel involved with the new certification for the additional grades.

I stay in touch with the staff at school several times a week. One of the good benefits of social media. I am so grateful for the staff the Lord has put together for the school. I miss being there and look forward to returning hopefully the first of next year. As many of you know I was stopped on my way home from India, by immigration in December. They asked a lot of questions about why I stayed so long and came so often, and what I did while I was there. Praising God, they did not take my visa away, but he did suggest I not stay as long and come as often, as I have most likely bee tagged as a Christian. Unfortunately India is becoming more and more unfriendly to Christians.

In the meantime, I have been busy visiting family and friends and putting together a Bible Study for next fall. I will be visiting my friend, Sandi, in GA, and she has asked me to lead a Bible Study. I will be using our ministry title of Learning To Hope! We will look at the areas in our life we can have Hope. Hope during times of change in our life, Hope as we step out to follow God’s plans, Hope during the dark times in our life and a secure Hope in our future with Christ.

PRAISE:

  1. Our school was finished in time for school to start.

  2. The Lord has supplied all our needs at school: finances, a staff that is dedicated to our students and their future.

  3. For each of you who support Grace English School in prayer and finances.

  4. India did not take my visa away.

PRAYER:

  1. For our staff as they walk the fine line of showing Jesus to our students and parents and at the same time not upsetting the Hindus in the area who could cause us problems.

  2. For me as I write this Bible Study.

  3. For clear timing for my return to India.

  4. For continued support for me financially.
