NOT EVEN A PANDEMIC CAN SHUT THIS DOOR

“I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.” Revelation 3:8 NLT

I recently listen to a podcast by Kerri Kenyon Dern, she spoke about this verse, and I was struck by the fact that even during times when I find myself doubting what I feel God has called me to do I can choose to trust God for my encouragement to move forward. He opened the door for me to go to India and even a pandemic cannot shut that.
There are days I desperately want to return to India. I miss the school children, staff, and just everyday life in our little village. At the same time, I know God is using this time to draw me closer Him, he is teaching me so much during this time at home. I am at peace knowing that his timing is perfect, and I have chosen to have JOYFULL ENDURANCE during this time of waiting.
In my last newsletter I was excited to share with you that we were back in school. I am sad to share we have been locked down again. Before our second lockdown, we were able to have our first Parent Teachers meeting. It was an opportunity for our parents to meet the staff ask any questions they might have concerning the school.

We are grateful we were able to be in school long enough for our children to complete the school year, and our 5th graders were able to have a real graduation ceremony from the school. Teachers and students shared tears as they said their goodbyes.

Classes are now back to distance learning Indian style. Our teachers are back to making lesson plans and then taking them around to each student’s home. They are now getting ready to give them their quarterly exams in the next week or so.
In my last newsletter I mention that we were getting ready to purchase new playground equipment, it has arrived, but due to being on lockdown again, we are not able to set it up. God also provided for funds to update our staff bathroom which was in desperate need. We look forward to lockdown ending soon so we can complete the playground and the bathroom.
PRAISE:
1. I continue to praise God for all of you who have faithfully supported Grace English School during this difficult season with your prayers and financial support.
2. Praising God that our staff and children have remained safe during this time.
3. I am blessed by all the encouragement each of you have given me as I wait to return to India. Both in prayer and financial support. I could not do this ministry without it.
PRAYER REQUEST:
1. For all of those effected by the new strain of virus in India.
2. For the numbers to decline to the point India could once again open, and I can return.
3. For our board as we look at the future of Grace English School and expanding our outreach.
4. Our headmaster Raju, still in need of money to finish paying for the land to build his home on. If you feel God is leading to help, you can contact me or send money though my account at First Baptist Church #40-108.
5. For me to stay content with God’s timing on my return.
